Driven by Heart: Why I Serve the NFKC
When you see me at the track, I’m rarely sitting still. Whether I’m walking through the pits catching up with our racing families, helping a new driver navigate their first race day, or just making sure everyone has what they need, I’m right there with you. I believe that being present and accessible is what keeps our club feeling like a community.
But behind the scenes, my work takes on a different rhythm. As the Secretary and Treasurer of the NFKC, I handle the “money matters” and the paperwork that keeps our club’s engine running. From track improvements and track insurance to managing the books, I take care of the details so that our drivers can focus on the finish line.
Why do I do it?
It started with my son. Watching him grow through this sport was a gift, and we were only able to succeed because of the incredible people who reached out to help us when we were new. Every hour I spend on club business is my way of paying it forward. I want to make sure that the North Florida Kart Club remains a place where kids, teens and adults of all ages can discover the racing world. This is grassroots racing at its best—family-friendly, community-driven, and built on the idea that we’re all in this together. I step up to do the hard work behind the scenes because I want to thank the community that supported my family by ensuring yours has a place to race for years to come.
I’m here to help, whether it’s with a registration question or just a friendly word in the pits. Let’s keep growing this sport together.
